Support for your family’s needs.

TANF

TANF stands for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (also known as Arizona@Work  or AZ@Work) , which can help provide money for families to care for young children. The TANF program provides financial assistance every month that can be used for basic needs. Arizona@Work cash assistance is provided primarily for children. Arizona@Work cash assistance is not provided to pregnant women without other dependent children. For example, TANF could help you pay for getting clothes for a growing baby or daycare assistance. Basic needs include the following:

  • Childcare
  • Clothing
  • Daycare
  • Food
  • Healthcare Supplies
  • Housing
  • Transportation
  • Utilities

“I felt comfortable speaking with her about every concern I had.”

All adults who are included in the assistance payment must have the Personal Responsibility Agreement/Outcome Plan that requires the individuals to work or participate in work-related activities. These adults must complete all requirements on their agreement each month before receiving Arizona@Work benefits, unless good cause is established.

We help families with children under 2 years old apply for financial assistance with the TANF program at no cost.
